A wonderful weekend with over 500 visitors all helping to celebrates BWAG’s 10th anniversay. There were various wood crafts on display in the woods and demostrations of wood extraction using heavy horses. On Saturday a theatre company performed a woodland themed play in the woods and on Sunday Morris dancers performed outside the village hall. Local produce including honey, jam and beer was on sale and a farrier showed visitors how horse shoes are made. The tractor rides from the Church to the woods proved extremely popular. Admission was free but visitors and stall holders gave generously to BWAG and we raised over £1,200. Thanks to all the volunteers who made this weekend possible and to the Mid Kent Downs Partnership (Sally, Mike & Simon) – their support was invaluable. All money raised goes towards the restoration of the woods and further puchases of land by BWAG to secure Bredhurst Woods as an amenity for the community for generations to come.
