October 2012 – Arrival of KWT Sheep

Once again, Kent Wildlife Trust have lent BWAG their sheep to munch the scrub on a field which BWAG is trying to revert back to chalk grassland. Sheep grazing is vital for the success of the management of the site. This year we have Herdwick Sheep (the light ones) and Hebridean (the dark ones). For more information about these breeds, click here. BWAG volunteers check the sheep on a daily basis, along with Louise, the KWT shepherd.
