Thank you to everyone who came along today with special thanks to two new volunteers - Lol and Den. We got loads of work done which is helping the glade to really take shape. The small clearings we are making will soon be a haven for wildlife.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Great Bredhurst Tidy Up today. We had 19 helpers who collected 44 bags of litter, cleaned several street signs and cut back the vegetation on the M2 bridge, The Street ready for the re-painting of the railings next week. Many thanks to Kent Police who regularly patrol Bredhurst Woods. Thankfully, the majority of vehicle owners have permits and are considerate to others. We're also grateful to individuals and off road clubs who help on some BWAG task days.
Three trustees attended a tree course at Knepp Castle, Sussex, yesterday to study and debate ways to look after veteran trees, dead wood, fungi and much more. An excellent day led by Ted Green. The day really made us all think about how we care for our trees in Bredhurst and what steps we can take to improve their health. ...
Thank you to the 20 volunteers who helped with yesterday's task day. We welcomed 3 new members; Bob and Frances who helped with wiring posts and Kisna who travelled from his home in Dartford to help! Delicious cakes were home made by Seann. We got lots of works done and had a very good lunch.

Had a great afternoon on Saturday attending Bredhurst School's 150th anniversary May Day celebrations. Lots of visitors to the BWAG and Parish Council stands. We were very glad to provide our support to the school.... and we received a lovely thank you card yesterday!

Thank you to Kent Field Club for visiting Bredhurst Woods to monitor fungi. Although many species have previously been recorded, the recent dry weather meant fewer species were found. They're all still there but they just need some rain!
