15th February 2015 – Task Day

A really good task day today with three new volunteers coming along to help. Some litter picked along Kemsley Street and Strawberry Banks. Other volunteers helped with coppicing in the woods. An enjoyable day - lots of work done, sausages and jacket potatoes cooked on the bonfire for lunch! A big thank you to all volunteers....

15th May 2015 – BWAG AGM

The 2015 AGM was well attended by 35 members and supporters. The current trustees were re-elected, and Esther Huxstep, who had been a co-opted trustee, was formally elected. Vanessa Jones gave a presentation, which highlighted the group’s history and achievements over the past ten years. 30th & 31st May – BWAG’s 10th Anniversary Celebration – Wood Fayre Weekend

A wonderful weekend with over 500 visitors all helping to celebrates BWAG's 10th anniversay. There were various wood crafts on display in the woods and demostrations of wood extraction using heavy horses.  On Saturday a theatre company performed a woodland themed play in the woods and on Sunday Morris dancers performed outside the village hall.  Local produce including honey, jam ...

10th July – Sir Edward Harvey Trophy Awarded to BWAG

BWAG has been awarded the Kent County Agricultural Society’s Sir Edward Harvey Trophy for ‘outstanding services to the forestry industry. 19th July – Music & Picnic at Green Court

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Music & Picnic at Green Court event. The Cantium Singers were excellent and the Pimms cooled us all down on a hot afternoon. We raised just under £1000 which all goes towards further plot purchases and the on-going maintenance of Bredhurst Woods.

6th November – Vultures in the Village

Another excellent talk by Nigel King, Director of the Imperial Bird of Prey Academy, Billericay, Essex. His talks are always informative and entertaining. A great evening for all BWAG's guests. Thanks to Nigel and Gary for bringing along their beautiful birds.

3rd December – Carol Concert

Thank you to everyone who came along to the BWAG Carol Concert and especially to the Cantium Singers who gave another excellent performance. It was a lovely evening and, luckily, the rain stayed away until the end of the night!.
